For us this trip was going to be something different with our caravan left home and our nightly accommodation was to be a dome tent. Bruce and Maree with their Mitsubishi Pajero will leave Adelaide with us. Our trip was to take us from Adelaide South Australia to Hawker in the Flinders Ranges where we were to meet with my brother Kerry and his daughter Mellissa and two grand daughters Danika and Heidi who would be travelling in a Nissan Patrol. My uncle Frank and Jenny who will be travelling in a Holden Rodeo tray top will be joining us at Hawker as well.

From Hawker we will travel via the Oodnadatta Track and then onto Finke in the Northern Territory where we will visit the Lambert Centre which is the geographical centre of the mainland continent of Australia. From here it will be back into South Australia to Dalhousie Springs before heading across the Simpson Desert to Birdsville in Queensland. From Birdsville it will be down to Innamincka South Australia for a few days before going to Cameron Corner and Broken Hill New South Wales for the last night before heading home back to Adelaide.
