From the commencement of this Web Site in early 2004 through until the end of April 2010 we were lucky enough to be able to work a shift pattern that gave us an opportunity to finish work every three weeks at 6:00am on the Friday morning and not be due to start work again until 3:00pm on the following Monday afternoon. This allowed us to leave for a weekend trip early on the Friday and not return home until the following Monday morning basically giving us a long weekend. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end so when I was retrenched on April 30th 2010 this style of weekends away stopped.

We are hoping that during the twelve months on from April 2010 that we will still be able to find the time to travel with our caravan, albeit possibly not as often as we have been used to, only time will tell. Until we work out what time will be available to us to head off on weekends, our Travel Diary might look a bit blank at times, something that we will have to put up with. Hopefully the new employment will not impact on our caravanning lifestyle too much.
