Just Cruisin with Mick and Sally

Tanunda South Australia - April 30th 2010 until May 2nd 2010.

Tanunda is situated 70 kms from Adelaide in the Barossa Valley.

Friday April 30th 2010: With the rush of the week leading up to today, Sally and I would have been the least organized to go away that we have ever been. We finally started to pull out of the driveway when I realized that there was no water in the tanks of the caravan. After a quickly filling the tanks, we left home at 2.35pm heading towards Tanunda where we were to stay for the weekend where we had a wedding to attend. It was an easy fifty minute drive for us and we were soon set up on site. Malcolm and Sue arrived soon after we did and before long we were enjoying the traditional happy hour.

Saturday May 1st 2010: As we were to attend a wedding today in the Barossa Valley, Malcolm and I returned to Adelaide with the dogs to leave them there so that we didn't have to worry about what they were up to while away from our caravans. With just under an hours traveling time back to Adelaide, it wasn't long before we were back at Tanunda eating lunch before we left for the wedding service. Dion and Sam who were spending the night with us after the wedding arrived at the Caravan Park just before Malcolm and I arrived back at the caravan.

The wedding service was held at St. Pauls Church in Tanunda from 1.00pm with the reception held at the Peter Seppelt Winery where pre dinner drinks and the reception commenced at 5.00pm. With the drive between Tanunda and the Winery taking nearly an hour, it was 12.30am Sunday morning before we arrived back at the Tanunda Caravan Park were we enjoyed a glass of port before going to bed.

Sunday May 2nd 2010: After everyone was out of bed, had breakfast and showered Dion and Sam headed back to Port Pirie while Sally, Malcolm, Sue and I headed into Adelaide to have lunch before collecting our dogs. Due to a serious road accident along Main North Road between Gawler and Smithfield we were delayed arriving at our chosen meal destination. After lunch and picking up the dogs, we headed back to Tanunda where we started to pack up the awning walls and get ready to depart in the morning where we were to head towards the River Murray where we intend on having a two week holiday before I start my new job.
