Just Cruisin with Mick and Sally

Moonta Bay South Australia - September 25th 2011 until September 27th 2011.

Moonta Bay Caravan Park is located 167kms North West of Adelaide and is situated on the Eastern side of Spencer Gulf of South Australia.

Sunday 25th September 2011: It was 8:35am when we left home without our dogs on this trip to start to head for Moonta Bay to share a few days with Sue & Malcolm who were also there with their caravan. It seemed a bit unusual to be heading away on a Sunday when we would normally be heading home on that day. With the dual highway between Adelaide and Port Wakefield, it was an easy two hour drive with us arriving at 10:40am where we were soon booked in and set up on our site.

The site that we were on was once a site used for a permanent caravan which had now been removed. In our opinion our site for the next few days would have to be one of the better sites available in the Caravan Park.

Monday 26th September 2011:With the weather being kind to us for our days here, it allowed us to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere that was easy to enjoy while sitting around the Park. Most people were starting to enjoy some of the early summer functions that a warm day would allow. Fishing from the close by jetty was always popular with one patron enjoying some freshly racked blue swimmer crabs. We followed up our day's leisure with an evening meal at one of the local Moonta Hotels before a quiet evening outside our caravans.

Tuesday 27th September 2011: Sue and Malcolm headed off early to visit the Paskeville Field Days while Sally and I packed up and departed the Caravan Park at 9:20am to head for home where we arrived at 11:30am.
