Thursday April 21st 2011: It was approximately 8am when we left home for our first caravan break for some time. With different work commitments, our times away have been drastically reduced so the need to enjoy our break was a top priority to us. With Booina only a short three hour drive we were there by lunch time where Sue, Malcolm, Shaun, Marisa and Aidan had already arrived and set up their sites for the Easter period.
Once we had set up our little spot, it was a matter of sitting back and taking in the quietness of our secluded location in the scrub. Malcolm & Shaun had done some work to prepare the camp location by slashing the grass and mounting a rain water tank on the elevated ground to supply any extra water required by anyone during our stay.

Friday April 22nd 2011: Today was the day that the remainder of the group were to arrive. Troy, Renae. Madeline, & William were the first to arrive with Dion, Sam and Rachel arriving shortly there after. Kylie's dust could be seen coming mid afternoon. Our group comprising of eleven adults, four kids, six dogs and two lambs was now complete.

Saturday April 23rd until Tuesday April 26th 2011: Unfortunately due to work commitments I had to leave the group early on the Saturday morning to return home to prepare myself for work that night. A number of days was on the agenda with ball games being played with the kids and some slow relaxing being done by the adults. There was a camp oven cook up done on the Sunday evening with roast camp oven lamb, beef & chicken all being enjoyed around the campfire. Dion, Sam and Rachel left to go back to Port Pirie on Monday with the remainder of the group going home on the Tuesday. With me being home and working, our caravan remained there until we returned on the Thursday.

Thursday 28th April 2011: With me finishing work at 8am, I was able to travel back to Port Pirie as a passanger in the truck where I met up with Sally to return back to our caravan for a few days before heading taking the caravan home. At this stage it was just the two of us to spend some time in the scrub. |

Friday 29th April 2011: It was a nice slowly paced day for us with hot scones for morning tea before we set up the camp oven during the afternoon to enjoy a roast lamb for tea while enjoying the company of Shaun, Marisa and Aidan around a very warm fire. |
Saturday 30th April 2011: With all good things coming to an end, we packed away all of our camping gear and headed for home where we arrived during the early afternoon. |
